Outside Sales Representative (Bilingual: Japanese)

About the Role

True World Foods Canada is looking for a motivated and personable Outside Sales Representative to join our Vancouver team. Based out of our Richmond facility, you will be responsible for developing new business and nurturing existing client relationships across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.

As the face of TWF in the field, you will visit restaurants, hotels, and retail establishments to understand their needs, present our product range, and provide tailored solutions. You will work closely with our operations and culinary teams to ensure that every client receives the quality and service that defines our brand.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of restaurant, hotel, and retail accounts across Metro Vancouver
• Conduct regular client visits to build relationships, present new products, and address needs
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and networking
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
• Provide product knowledge and culinary guidance to help clients optimize their menus
• Attend food industry events, trade shows, and community gatherings to represent TWF
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and client activity summaries
• Coordinate with the Vancouver warehouse team on inventory and special orders
• Relay market feedback and competitor intelligence to the sales management team

Qualifications

1. 1Bilingual fluency in Japanese and English (spoken and written)
2. 2Valid BC driver's license (Class 5 or equivalent)
3. 3Legal authorization to work in Canada (PR, citizenship, or valid work permit with 1+ year remaining)
4. 4Strong interpersonal and communication skills
5. 5Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in the field
6. 6Proficiency with basic computer applications (email, spreadsheets, CRM)
7. 7Professional appearance and demeanor

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of outside sales or account management experience
• Experience in the food service or hospitality industry
• Knowledge of Japanese cuisine, ingredients, and food culture
• Existing network within the Vancouver restaurant community
• Own vehicle for client visits (mileage reimbursement provided)
• Experience with food distribution or wholesale operations
