About the Role
True World Foods Canada is seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our Toronto operations team. Based out of our Mississauga facility, you will be responsible for delivering premium Japanese food products to restaurants, hotels, and retailers across the Greater Toronto Area.
This role requires early morning starts and a strong work ethic. You will be the final link in our cold chain, ensuring that sashimi-grade fish, wagyu beef, and other premium products arrive at our customers' doors in perfect condition. If you take pride in your work and enjoy being on the road, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a refrigerated delivery vehicle across the GTA
- Load and organize deliveries according to the daily route plan
- Deliver products to restaurants, hotels, and retailers on schedule
- Verify order accuracy with customers at the point of delivery
- Maintain temperature logs and cold chain documentation
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Handle cash and electronic payments when required
- Provide professional, courteous service to all customers
- Return undelivered items and paperwork to the warehouse
Qualifications
- 1Valid Ontario G driver's license with clean driving record
- 2Minimum 2 years of driving experience
- 3Legal authorization to work in Canada (PR, citizenship, or work permit with 1+ year remaining)
- 4Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and loading/unloading products
- 5Reliable, punctual, and able to start work at 5:00 AM
- 6Basic English communication skills
- 7Professional appearance and customer-facing demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous delivery or courier experience
- Knowledge of GTA roads and neighborhoods
- Experience with refrigerated vehicle operation
- Japanese language ability (helpful for communicating with some clients)
- Food handling certification
